8/21 Monday

  • Today students will set up their binders and complete the Characteristics of Life lab and notes
  • Part 1:
    • o Each student should have 1” binder.
    • o each student will have a set of the 8 tab dividers and the 3 page packet. The packet (attached at the end) will go in front of the dividers
    • o Table of Contents will be given for each assignment
  • Part 2:
    • o One the first divider students will write the word “Biochemistry” in larger letters on the divider.
    • o As a class ask the students to brain storm what they think will be part of this unit.
    • o add 3 pictures and color to their divider.
    • o This will be part of their binder grade.
  • Part 3:
    • o On the desk there is a container with specimens in bottles. Place the bottles along the back wall.
    • o Characteristics of Life Lab sheet

  • Part 4 (15 min)
    • o Student will take notes about the Characteristics of life on their own paper.
  • Part 5: remaining time
    • o After the lab and notes the student must answer the question on the back of the Lab sheet
